In the spring of 2020, the world came to a standstill. Hospitals were overwhelmed, families were terrified, and people faced one of the most frightening health crises in a generation alone.

For Mulu, it was not a statistic. It was her son.

As a Registered Nurse with over two decades of clinical experience in ICU rooms, surgical suites, and cancer research wards, Mulu had spent her career showing up for strangers at their most vulnerable. But when COVID-19 reached her home and her son became seriously ill, that expertise became deeply personal. She sat at his bedside, monitored his symptoms through the night, and managed his medications, comfort, and fear. She did what nurses do, this time for the person who mattered most.

During those long hours, a question began to form.

Who does this for everyone else?

Who shows up at 2 AM when someone is scared and unsure if what they are feeling is normal? Who supports the woman recovering from surgery in a hotel room because she came to Atlanta alone? Who ensures prescriptions are filled, discharge instructions are understood, and the home is safe before she walks through the door?

For most people, the answer was nobody.

Mulu knew that had to change.

In 2020, she founded MY Concierge Nurse not as a business idea, but as a response to a gap she could no longer ignore. It was built on one belief: exceptional nursing care should not exist only inside hospital walls. Luxury, dignity, and clinical excellence should be available to anyone who needs it in the comfort and privacy of their own home.

What began at a bedside in Atlanta has grown into a 24/7 private nursing service trusted across the metro area. From post-surgical recovery to IVF support, IV hydration to senior care, every service reflects the same intention Mulu brought to her son’s bedside: unhurried, attentive, deeply human care.
